The circulatory system, also called the cardiovascular or vascular system, is the human body's transport and cooling system.  It is responsible for transporting blood, oxygen and other chemicals and nutrients throughout the body through a complex network of veins and arteries.  As part of this transport system the circulatory system also carries waste products to their intended locations.

This system is made up of veins, arteries, the heart, and the lungs.  The circulatory system interacts with all other systems of the body supplying essential oxygen and nutrients to different systems.
